John Tammi is a Finnish AI and cybersecurity expert who builds AI for demanding, regulated environments such as law and security- and privacy-critical business. He joins companies as an equity partner. Among others, he is Co-founder, Partner & CTO at Koukku.ai and Partner & Head of Business at Y-lehti.

At Koukku.ai, John has built PDF Taituri, among other products. It is a Finnish PDF toolkit for accounting firms, law firms, housing companies and SMEs. Its AI runs entirely on the user’s own machine, and files never leave the device. He built the AI functionality for legal work at Lex Kapital, a law and accounting firm in Turku under the same ownership. He has also delivered confidential AI and data projects for the public sector in Finland and abroad.

Previously, John worked at Microsoft as a software engineer, where he helped bring Xbox Live to Finland. He holds a BSc in Data Science from the London School of Economics and Political Science (2019).

Outside work, John does charity work and mentors teenage boys through a gym group focused on discipline, responsibility and wellbeing.
